Terms of Use

Three parties, one document, and a straight answer to each of the questions a shop settles at the till.

One line first

Thistle Crossing does the finding and the reading. The firm printed on your proposal does the carrying and takes the fare. Every clause under this heading is a consequence of that division of labour, and none of them quietly walks it back.

The three parties

This company: Thistle Crossing LLC, registered in Colorado as a limited liability company, working from 2 North Nevada Avenue, Suite 620, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Sole publisher of these pages
You: The reader, plus anybody whose trip you are asking about
The operators: Whoever moves you, houses you and shows you round, all named on your proposal. Between them they run the trip, collect the fare, issue the paperwork and set the terms a refund is judged against

Nothing here is for sale

Not a thing. No basket exists, no running total, no confirmation screen. Figures on these pages exist to inform; a from figure marks the bottom of a range that genuinely occurred, and clicking it accepts nothing because there is nothing on offer to accept.

You have a booking at the moment an operator confirms one to you on paper. Before that moment, no obligation exists in either direction.

The questions a shop answers at the till

Staying silent on these reads as evasion, so here they are.

Payment: Impossible on these pages. There is no till here and no stored method of paying; the firm carrying you invoices you on its own system
Getting money back: Equally impossible here, since none of it ever arrived. Refunds belong to the firm you paid, and the page on vacation package refunds spells out how
Returns: Meaningless in this trade. Nothing physical passes between us, so nothing can be sent back
Delivery and shipping: Meaningless for the same reason. No parcel leaves this office; your documents are issued to you electronically by whoever is carrying you
Anything recurring: Does not exist. No membership, no club, no subscription is sold from here in any form

Companies other than this one

Somebody hosts these pages. In time a flight lookup may sit on a subdomain of this address, run by a firm that is not this one. The moment you step into anybody else's system, their rules and their own notice about data govern, and this document has nothing further to say.

We wrote that while no such lookup exists, precisely so that turning one on later cannot quietly falsify the rest.

What this company answers for

Accuracy: A mistake here gets corrected on paper, with the change named and the date we learned of it
Which document wins: Your proposal, every time. Anything on this website that contradicts it is out of date
Bad news: Relayed at once, in the words it reached us in, rather than smoothed into something easier to misread
Performing the trip: Somebody else's duty entirely. The firm operating it carries that, and no arrangement of words here moves it onto us

What you answer for

Border paperwork: Whatever your own nationality needs for your own route, checked by you
Any cover you want: Yours to buy elsewhere or to go without, and nobody here will steer that decision
Judging the rhythm honestly: Read all seven rows on the trip page, and read the seventh one twice
Names spelled right: They have to match the document in your hand. Fixing one costs money, and on a berth issued to a name it sometimes cannot be fixed at all
Arriving: Check in windows, gangway times, meeting points, and whatever the paperwork asks you to reconfirm

Absent from this site by decision

Ticking clocks and dwindling seat counts: Absent from every page, the deals board included
Stars, scores, medals and prizes: Absent, since inventing one would be the only way to have any
Telling you a place is safe: Outside what anybody here is competent to say
A registration or bond number: None appears anywhere on this site, for the plain reason that this company holds none. If that changes, the number goes on the page and this line goes off it
Undercutting a figure you found: Simply not a thing this desk does

Which law

Colorado law governs, with federal law of the United States applying where it reaches. If you hold a right that no agreement is permitted to strip away, nothing written above strips it away.

When this changes

The date printed at the foot of this page moves too. Anything you have already agreed continues to run on the proposal you were sent, whatever appears here afterwards.

Nothing on this site is run by the company that sells it. Thistle Crossing puts trips together and hands them to the airlines, hotels, ships, rail companies and tour operators whose job it is to carry them out. Not one bed, one seat, one hull or one guide belongs to this company. The firm doing the carrying is named on your written proposal, works to rules it wrote itself, and bills you without this desk touching the money.

Which rules a few things out, and they are worth stating rather than implying. Nobody here flies anything, sails anything or lets a room. No department of any government has appointed, approved or endorsed this firm, and no page claims otherwise. Cover for your trip is somebody else's business and so is the paperwork that gets you over a border. There is no way to pay through these pages and no card number is ever stored.
